Hi my name is Jess. I have always known that my gift is to help others heal. I experienced the trauma that comes with growing up in a dysfunctional family. I immersed myself in my education, work, and other distractions to avoid the constant fear and anxiety I felt within.

After graduating from Boston University, I supported a pediatric study and a maternal health study. After sometime I was ready for a new experience. I found joy in working for a medical device company where I could offer daily support and education to patients in chronic pain. I felt completely at ease working with my patients and felt that I was embodying my role as a healer. All was well until I eventually became burnt out. How could I help others heal with an empty cup? I decided to pour into myself. 

I began to invest in my spiritual development. Eventually I came to understand that unifying all aspects of myself was necessary. ​One experience led to the next. I came to understand my power. Being a doula is a manifestation of that. Birth work is a direct response to the injustice and disparities experienced by BIPOC in the US. And we all have the power to change that narrative.
